Tacos and Mexican food
Five places center on Mexican food. Rasta Taco and Carmelita’s are in The Village, near Broadway and Beach Street. Laguna Feasts is on Glenneyre Street and works from a counter. Wahoo’s Fish Tacos, on South Coast Highway, is counter service as well, and its menu lets you pick chicken, carnitas, carne asada, fish, shrimp or tofu. Pizza
Truly Pizza, in North Laguna, lists round and square pizzas and focaccia sandwiches. Gina’s Pizza serves pizza and pasta on South Coast Highway. Neapolitan Pizzeria & Birreria is farther south, in South Laguna, and cooks its pizza in a wood-fired oven. The Italian and pizza page covers sit-down Italian restaurants too.
Sandwiches and burgers
Board & Brew builds its sandwiches on baguette, sourdough or sweet wheat bread, and its site says it has been at it since 1979. Greeter’s Corner lists burgers and breakfast. Finney’s Crafthouse, inside The White House on South Coast Highway, has burgers, tacos and salads.
Where each one is
North Laguna has two: Truly Pizza and Chelas, both on North Coast Highway. The Village has six, spread from Beach Street and Broadway to Glenneyre Street and South Coast Highway. The HIP District has two in the 1100 block, Gina’s Pizza and Wahoo’s Fish Tacos. South Laguna has Neapolitan Pizzeria & Birreria. Read about The Village and South Laguna for the setting of each area.
Patios and settings
Carmelita’s, Greeter’s Corner and Finney’s all list patio seating. Finney’s says it is steps from the beach on Coast Highway. Check each venue before you go.
Getting around
Most addresses here are on or near South Coast Highway. Read the parking guide and the getting around guide before you drive. After you eat in The Village, Main Beach is at the west end of Broadway, and the one day in Laguna itinerary has a route through town.
