How this list works

Every link below goes to the page that publishes the camera: SkylineWebcams (through the city’s link), a resort, two businesses near Aliso Beach and a nonprofit. Nothing is embedded here, and this page makes no promise that any camera is running, so open the link to see what is live.

A webcam shows one view at one moment. It does not show parking, trolley status, water quality or rip currents. Use the cameras for a look at the view, and use the sources in the last section for the rest.

  • The city’s link: the camera Marine Safety labels Main Beach.
  • An oceanfront view of the waves: the Surf & Sand Resort camera.
  • The south end at Aliso Beach: the camera on The Ranch’s and Lost Pier Cafe’s pages.
  • Rescued animals: the Pacific Marine Mammal Center’s webcams section.

Each owner chooses the angle, so a view may not match the beach it is filed under.

The city’s Marine Safety department lists a Main Beach webcam on its surf reports and real-time weather page. The link leads to SkylineWebcams. Its own page names the view as the coast from The Cliff Restaurant, so the city’s label and the camera’s description differ. Read the owner’s page to see the angle. For the beach itself, see Main Beach.

Surf & Sand Resort, oceanfront

Surf & Sand Resort at 1555 South Coast Highway runs a live oceanfront camera on its site. The resort describes it as a stream of Pacific Ocean views, waves and the Laguna Beach coastline.

Aliso Beach

Two businesses near Aliso Beach show the same camera, hosted by Surfline:

  • The Ranch at Laguna Beach. Its beach page describes Aliso Beach and carries a Beach Cam section.
  • Lost Pier Cafe. The oceanfront cafe at 31131 Coast Highway has a “View Live Web Cam” link on its site.

The Aliso Beach page covers parking, rules and facilities.

Pacific Marine Mammal Center

The nonprofit’s A Patient’s Journey page has a section headed “see our live webcams” with live camera players on the page. The center does not describe what each camera shows. It rehabilitates seals and sea lions at 20612 Laguna Canyon Road. For a visit in person, see Pacific Marine Mammal Center.

The same Marine Safety page links other tools. Surfline reports for Brooks Street Beach and Rockpile Beach and a Surf Forecast tide chart give surf and tide numbers. WeatherLink pages for Main Beach, City Hall and Fire Station 3 give weather readings. They are reports, not cameras.

For the rest of the picture

  • Water safety. Lifeguard flags, rip currents and stingrays are in ocean safety, attributed to Marine Safety.
  • Weather. Monthly normals are in weather.
  • Trolley. The city says the Laguna Beach Trolley app tracks trolley status in real time. See the trolley page.
  • Beach rules. Alcohol, fires and dogs are in beach rules.
  • Phone. The city lists a Beach Information line at (949) 497-0310.
