What Art-A-Fair is
Laguna Art-A-Fair is a juried summer art show at 777 Laguna Canyon Road. It operates as a cooperative of independent artists, and unlike the other two summer art festivals, it has no residency rule. Its exhibitors come from around the world. The grounds are covered and open-air, and each artist runs an individual gallery space.
The festival lists two-dimensional work in oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, encaustic, pastel, charcoal, colored pencil, photography and printmaking. Three-dimensional work includes jewelry, ceramics, glass, fiber art, wood, sculpture and more. Visitors can watch live demonstrations, take a workshop and buy from the artists. A restaurant on the grounds serves food and drinks, and live music plays through the summer.

A short history
Art-A-Fair says its roots go back to 1966, when a group of artists hung their work on fences at Glenneyre Street and Park Avenue. After several moves, it settled at 777 Laguna Canyon Road in 1988.
