Terms of Use for Search Laguna

Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Realatrends Real Estate, the publisher of Search Laguna at www.searchlaguna.com (the “site”). “We,” “us” and “our” mean Realatrends Real Estate as publisher of the site. “You” means any person who visits or uses the site.

By using the site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

You must be at least 18, or use the site with a parent or guardian’s permission, to send us information through a form.

Who runs the site

Realatrends Real Estate, a California real estate brokerage licensed as DRE #00925482, publishes the site and is its real estate sponsor. General information, not professional advice

Search Laguna publishes general information about Laguna Beach: beaches, neighborhoods, things to do, places to eat and stay, events, city services, costs and what to expect when you move here. Nothing on the site is legal, tax, financial, investment, lending, insurance, engineering, geological, medical or other professional advice, and nothing on it creates a professional relationship with you.

Figures on the site, including home prices, property tax estimates, fees, rates, costs of living and the property tax estimator, are estimates for general planning. Your own costs depend on facts we do not know. Before you make a decision that matters (buying a home, signing a lease, moving, building, budgeting), confirm the details with the agency or business involved and with a licensed professional you choose.

Real estate information

No agency relationship. Reading the site, using its tools or sending a message does not make you a client of Realatrends Real Estate or create an agency, fiduciary or broker relationship. That relationship begins only when you and the brokerage sign a written agreement.
Market figures. Market figures on the site come from the California Regional Multiple Listing Service (CRMLS) and name the period they cover. The data is deemed reliable but not guaranteed, may contain errors, and can change as listings are updated. The site does not list homes for sale. For homes and current prices, visit realatrends.com.
Equal housing opportunity. We follow the federal Fair Housing Act and California fair housing law. We describe places by their setting, streets, housing and what is nearby. We do not say who a neighborhood suits, call a place safe or unsafe, or rate schools, and nothing on the site is meant to steer any person toward or away from any area.
Licensing. Real estate questions you send through the site go to Realatrends Real Estate (DRE #00925482). You can check a California real estate license with the Department of Real Estate.

Accuracy, dates and changes

We check facts against named sources and show the month each page was last reviewed. Even so, Laguna Beach changes fast. Businesses change hours, prices and menus or close; the city changes parking rates, rules and permits; trails, beaches and roads close for storms, fire risk, construction or wildlife; organizers move or cancel events. A page can be out of date the day after we review it.

We provide the site’s content as general information without promising that it is complete, current or free of errors. Before you go somewhere, pay for something or rely on a rule, check with the business, venue, organizer or agency. If you find an error, please tell us so we can fix it.

We may change, add or remove any part of the site at any time, without notice.

Ocean, beach, trail and weather conditions

Some pages show live tides, water temperature, waves and forecasts from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Weather Service. Those readings come from instruments and computer models, can be delayed, missing or wrong, and describe conditions at a buoy or station that may sit miles from the beach you choose. The ocean at a given beach can be far more dangerous than any reading suggests.

Do not use the site to decide whether it is safe to swim, surf, dive, paddle, explore tide pools, hike or go out on the water. Ocean activities carry real risk of injury and death from rip currents, shore break, high surf, rising tides, rocks, cliffs, marine life and water quality. Before you go in or out:

follow lifeguards, posted signs, flags, closures and advisories
check current conditions from the official source, including the National Weather Service and Orange County beach water quality
know the rules for marine protected areas, tide pools and wildlife, which state and city agencies set and enforce
swim near a lifeguard and within your ability

The same goes for trails, cliffs, stairs and parks: conditions change with weather and erosion, and closures are posted on site. You are responsible for your own safety and for the people with you.

Businesses, events and links to other sites

Restaurants, hotels, galleries, tour operators, shops and other businesses appear on the site because they fit the page. No business pays to be listed. A listing is not an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee of any business, product, service, price or event. We do not control and are not responsible for what a business sells, how it treats you, its safety or its prices. Any dealings you have with a business are between you and that business.

The site links to websites we do not run, including businesses, government agencies, maps, realatrends.com and Laguna Beach Happy Hour, a happy hour directory from the same owner. We provide those links for convenience. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, privacy practices or terms. Following a link is at your own risk.

Our content and how you may use it

Unless a credit says otherwise, the text, page designs, maps drawn for the site, graphics, logos, data tables and compilations on the site belong to Realatrends Real Estate and are protected by United States and international copyright and trademark law. © 2026 Search Laguna. All rights reserved.

You may not, without our written permission:

copy, republish, sell, license or redistribute the site’s content, in whole or in large part, on another website, app, publication or dataset

remove copyright notices, credits or source lists
use the content to build a competing guide or directory

Search engines and crawlers that follow our robots.txt file are welcome to index the site and show excerpts and links in search results and answers.

Photos

Many photos on the site come from photographers who license them under Creative Commons or similar licenses. Each photo carries its credit line, and the photo credits page lists every photo with its photographer, license and source. Those photos are governed by their own licenses, not by the section above. If you want to reuse one, follow the license linked in its credit. Photos without a Creative Commons credit may not be reused without permission.

Names and trademarks

“Search Laguna,” its logo and its sunset icon identify this site, and you may not use them in a way that suggests we endorse you, your product or your site. “Realatrends” is the trade name of Realatrends Real Estate. The names and logos of businesses, agencies and other organizations on the site belong to their owners. We use them only to identify those organizations, and their appearance does not mean they endorse us.

Acceptable use

When you use the site, you agree not to:

break any law or anyone’s rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights
send spam, advertising, chain letters, threats, harassment or unlawful material through the forms
give false contact details, impersonate any person or business, or send a form on someone’s behalf without permission
use bots, scripts or other automated tools to fill in or submit forms
probe, scan or test the site’s security, or try to get into any part of the site, its servers or its accounts without permission
upload or send viruses, malware or code meant to damage or interfere with the site or its visitors
send requests at a rate that slows or overloads the site, or scrape the site in a way that harms its performance or ignores robots.txt
get around any security feature, rate limit, spam filter or access control
use the site to collect information about other people

We may block access from any person, network or tool that breaks these rules, and we may report unlawful activity to the authorities.

Messages you send us

When you send us a message, correction, idea or other feedback, you confirm that what you send is accurate and yours to share. You agree we may use any correction, idea or suggestion you send to improve the site, without paying you or crediting you, unless you ask us in your message not to name you. We handle your personal information as the Privacy Policy explains.

Please do not send confidential information, documents for a transaction, or payment details through the forms. Sending a message does not guarantee a reply, and the forms are not monitored for emergencies. In an emergency, call 911.

Copyright complaints

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe material on the site infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our copyright agent with the information required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3):

your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for the owner
a description of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed
the address of the page on the site with the material, and enough detail for us to find it
your name, mailing address, phone number and email address
a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law
a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner

When we receive a complete notice, we will review it and remove or disable the material if appropriate. If we credited a photo to the wrong person or used it outside its license, we will correct the credit or take the photo down. Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), a person who knowingly misrepresents that material infringes may be liable for damages, so please make sure the material is not licensed to us or allowed as fair use before you send a notice.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND EVERYTHING ON IT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY AND COMPLETENESS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE AVAILABLE, UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR FREE OF ERRORS, VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY INFORMATION, FIGURE, CONDITION READING, FORECAST, LISTING, EVENT DATE OR LINK ON THE SITE IS CORRECT OR CURRENT.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, REALATRENDS REAL ESTATE AND ITS OWNERS, BROKERS, AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OPPORTUNITY OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE, YOUR RELIANCE ON ANYTHING ON IT, ANY BUSINESS OR SITE WE LIST OR LINK TO, OR ANY ACTIVITY YOU TAKE PART IN AFTER READING ABOUT IT ON THE SITE, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). THE SITE IS FREE, AND THESE LIMITS ARE PART OF THE BASIS ON WHICH WE OFFER IT.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded or certain damages to be limited. In those places, the limits above apply only as far as the law allows. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, willful injury or a violation of law (California Civil Code section 1668), or for gross negligence.

Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Realatrends Real Estate and its owners, brokers, agents, employees and contractors from any claim, demand, loss, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) that arises from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the site, or your violation of any law or anyone else’s rights.

Governing law and where disputes go

California law governs these Terms and any dispute about the site, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any lawsuit about the site or these Terms must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you and we consent to those courts’ jurisdiction. Either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court instead.

Before you file a claim, please contact us at Clark@Realatrends.com and give us a chance to resolve it. Most concerns about a free information site can be settled with a correction.

To the extent the law allows, you must bring any claim about the site within one year after it arises, or the claim is permanently barred.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top. The version posted when you use the site applies to that use. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated Terms.

Other terms

Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site. A separate written agreement with Realatrends Real Estate for real estate services controls those services.
Severability. If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, that part will be enforced as far as possible, and the rest stays in effect.
No waiver. If we do not enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours to a new owner of the site.
Headings. Headings are for convenience and do not change the meaning of any section.
